D.
Howard Stitzel III concentrates his practice in the areas
of personal injury, family law, criminal defense, and
business law.
A native of Middletown, Ohio, Stitzel received his undergraduate
degree in history and political science from Stetson University.
He earned his law degree from Stetson University College
of Law in 1988 where he was a member of Phi Delta Phi
and was co-recipient of the American Jurisprudence Award
in Evidence.

He
was admitted to the Florida bar in 1989, and is admitted
to practice in all Florida State Courts, U.S. District
Court (Middle District of Florida), United States Court
of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme
Court.
Stitzel is a member of the Florida Bar, Plant City Bar
Association (President, 1999-2000) Hillsborough County
Bar Association (Member of Executive Council for Family
Law Section) and Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers.
Active in community service, Stitzel has served as a board
member of the Plant City Kiwanis Club, East Hillsborough
United Way, Plant City and Brandon Chambers of Commerce
and the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Lodge
#1727.
Stitzel has served on the Judicial Nominating Commission
of the 13th Judicial Circuit as an appointee of Governor
Jeb Bush, where he was charged with investigating and
reviewing applications for judicial appointments as well
as making recommendations to the Governor on Judicial
nominations. He serves on the East County Service Center/Court
House Redevelopment Committee and is a board member of
the Byrd Alzheimer's Institute at the University of South
Florida. |
